You can, and should, give yourself a head, neck and ear massage anytime and anywhere – at your workplace to help you focus, at home after a long exhausting day, before an exam to help you reduce the stress, etc.

Begin with a neck stretching:
Place your hands on the place where neck joins with shoulders and use the fingers to massage and stretch along the shoulder line. Do this a few times each side. The focus is not only on the muscles on the neck but it is also on the throat where stretching will activate the glands and lymph nodes.

Shoulder squeezing:
Place your left hand on your right shoulder and squeeze the shoulder muscle between your palm and your fingers. Repeat this with your right hand on the left shoulder. Ideally you should do this directly on the skin.

Neck squeezing:
Place your hand on your neck and gently squeeze it, using only the palm to apply the squeeze. This stroke is improving the blood circulation in the brain.

Eyebrows friction:
Starting from between your eyebrows rub with both of your middle fingers along the eyebrows to the middle of the eyebrow where you will find a small cavity. Do a small circle fingertip rotation. This is excellent to reduce headaches and fatigue.

Ear Massage:
Ear massage will help reduce the stress, improve digestion, improve body temperature adjustment. Pull the ear backward with light force. Squeeze the ear between thumb and index applying a light pressure. Pull the earlobe downward with light force and release. This stimulates all the energetic points on the ear.

Friction behind ears by placing the fingers and thumbs on the bone behind your ears. Applying a moderate pressure, move your fingers and thumbs downwards to the neck until you meet the shoulders. This feels great and helps the release of endorphins.

Also, try this to activate the head:
Lean back on your chair and interlace your fingers and place them on top of your head for 10 seconds. Now move the hands down to where your hair forms a swirl and hold. It will require a bit of more effort to keep your hands together, but not too much.

Another simple technique is to place your palms on your front neck. This activates your liver and digestive system and boosts your immunity.
